Depuis 2011, le “Visa d’Or humanitaire du CICR” récompense un photojournaliste professionnel ayant couvert une problématique humanitaire en lien avec un conflit armé. Ce prix s’intègre dans le prestigieux festival international de photojournalisme de Perpignan, Visa pour l’Image. La compétition se terminera le 8 juin prochain.

De 2011 à 2014, il a récompensé un photoreportage valorisant la problématique du respect de mission médicale en temps de guerre.

De 2015 à 2017, le concours s’est concentré sur les femmes dans la guerre : femmes combattantes, femmes détenues, femmes victimes de la violence sexuelle, femmes cheffes de familles en l’absence des hommes, femmes à la recherche de proches disparus.

Depuis 2018, le thème du concours porte sur la guerre en ville et les conséquences humanitaires sur les populations obligées de se terrer ou de fuir. Les lauréats du concours reçoivent 8 000 euros, une aide financière destinée à leurs futurs projets.

Call for participation for the 2021 Humanitarian Visa d’Or Award

Every year since 2011, the ICRC has awarded the Humanitarian Visa d’or to a photojournalist as part of the annual « Visa pour l’image » festival of photojournalism, which takes place in Perpignan, France.

From 2011 to 2015, the award invited photojournalists to address the issue of health care in danger and respect for medical services during armed conflict and violence.

From 2015 to 2017, the competition focused on women in war: sexual violence, women in detention, women searching for missing family members, the situation of female fighters or also women becoming single heads of household.

Since 2018, the theme of this photo contest is urban warfare and the consequences for people forced to hide or flee. ICRC’s Humanitarian Visa d’Or Award is an 8 000 euros prize for professional photojournalists.
