Jonathan Cuénoud
Jonathan Cuénoud has worked for the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) since 2011. He serves in the FDFA as a Legal Adviser in the International Humanitarian Law and International Criminal Justice Section of the Directorate of International Law. From 2011 to 2013, he has been the Legal Advisor of the Ambassador-at-large for IHL (FDFA). Between 2019 and 2020, he served as a Senior Legal Advisor on IHL at the Permanent Mission of Switzerland to the United Nations in Geneva. Prior to joining the FDFA, he worked as Legal Attaché at the ICRC (Legal Division) and UNHCR (Liaison Service for Switzerland and Liechtenstein).
Jonathan holds an LL.M. in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights from the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights, a Master of International and European Law as well as a BA in Law from the University of Neuchâtel (Switzerland).
