Clara Barton (1821-1912). Fondatrice de la Croix-Rouge américaine. Born in North Oxford, Massachusetts, on December 25th 1821, she rose from small farm background to become a schoolteacher, government worker, Civil War nurse, women's prison superintendent and dedicated humanitarian.
