Larry Maybee
Larry Maybee is a Legal Adviser with Australian Red Cross, with primary responsibility for its international humanitarian law (IHL) engagement with the humanitarian and health sectors in Australia. He is also the Australian Red Cross focal point for the healthcare in danger (HCiD) file.
Larry joined Australian Red Cross in 2020 following 15 years working with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), serving in legal, protection and management roles throughout the Middle East and Asia. Prior to joining the ICRC, Larry completed a 26-year military career in the Canadian and New Zealand Defence Forces, where he served in a variety of command, staff and legal officer positions at home and overseas. These included UN peacekeeping missions and other operational deployments in the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific.
