Judith I. Oputu
Judith currently works as the Diplomatic Adviser for Africa at the ICRC Headquarters in Geneva, supporting ICRC’s humanitarian diplomacy engagements in Africa on a variety of themes. She is also the desk officer for the ICRC mission to the African Union.
Judith joined the ICRC in 2009 as a Multilateral Liaison Officer covering the regional economic community, ECOWAS from Abuja, Nigeria. From 2012- 2015, she worked as a delegate covering the 13 countries of the Caribbean Community. She has also worked as a detention delegate in Colombia and Honduras.
She has a Bachelor of laws (LLB) degree from the University of Jos (Nigeria), a Msc. in Development and Project Planning from the University of Bradford (United Kingdom) as well as a Msc. in International Criminal Justice from the University of Portsmouth (United Kingdom).
