Ziad Rizkallah
Brigadier General Ziad Rizkallah is Head of the International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights Directorate in the Lebanese Army and Legal Adviser to the Commander-in-Chief on international humanitarian law (IHL) and human rights. He holds a PhD in Political Science and multiple master’s degrees in law, strategy and administrative studies.
He is a distinguished senior officer and legal scholar with over 36 years of military, operational and administrative leadership, and strategic legal expertise in international humanitarian law (IHL), human rights, civil–military relations, and the protection of civilians in crisis, armed conflict and law enforcement operations. He has extensive national and international advisory, teaching and operational experience.
