Juliana Helou van der Berg
Juliana Helou van der Berg is a Political Affairs Officer at the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA) Geneva Branch. She is UNODA’s focal point on the issue of Explosive Weapons in Populated Areas and covers a range of conventional weapon files, including new and emerging weapon technologies. Prior to joining UNODA she i.a. worked in the Joint Operations Centre of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA). Before working for the United Nations she held various positions with IOs and NGOs focusing on international law. Ms. Helou van der Berg has Bachelor in Sociology and a Master of Laws in Human Rights Law and Policy.
