Ulrika Modéer
Ulrika Modéer is the Secretary General of the Swedish Red Cross since August 2024.
Mrs Modéer has served in various roles of the civil society, Swedish government and the United Nations where she was the Assistant Secretary-General and UNDP’s Director of External Relations and Advocacy from August 2018 to August 2024. Ms Modéer held the position as State Secretary for International Development Cooperation and Climate in the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs between 2014 to 2018, and was instrumental in reshaping Sweden’s international development cooperation to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
