Sophie Huvé
Sophie is the Restrictive Measures Regional Adviser for the Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to the EU, NATO and the Kingdom of Belgium in Brussels. Her background focuses on sanctions, counterterrorism, humanitarian action and IHL. She previously worked at the ICRC (GVA, 2018-2020), the United Nations (2016 ; 2020 – 2022) and various US-based think tanks (2017-2018, 2022-2023), where she led several research projects and contributed to recommendations to the UN system and policymakers on these topics.
Sophie holds masters’ degree from Paris II University and Paris I University, and a LLM from Georgetown University. She speaks fluently French, English and Russian.
