Jimena Sofía Viveros Álvarez is a distinguished Mexican lawyer, member of the UNSG High-Level Advisory Body on AI, a Commissioner for GC-REAIM, and an OECD AI Expert. She serves as Head Legal Advisor and Chief of Staff of Justice Ortiz, at Mexico’s Supreme Court of Justice.

Her experience in the justice, peace and security domain includes senior governmental leadership positions and various roles the ICC, ICTY, ICTR, OPCW, the UN Verification Mission in Colombia, and grassroots NGOs in different continents.

Ms. Viveros, a widely renowned author and speaker on AI and international law, is finalizing her PhD at Cologne University on AI and autonomous weapons systems.
