Elizabeth McGuinness
Elizabeth McGuinness works in the ICRC’s Sexual Violence Unit. As a researcher focusing on sexual violence and intimate partner violence, she has experience in programming and policy research, in and out of the humanitarian realm, at both regional and international levels. She was previously involved in a variety of grass-roots initiatives focused on social justice and sexual and reproductive-health rights. Her personal and professional profiles are dedicated toward challenging violence and discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity/expression, with emphasis on the experiences of LBT+ women. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and an M.A. in Human Rights.
