Alannah Travers
Alannah Travers is a legal researcher and recent SOAS University LLM graduate. Between 2021–2024, Alannah was based in Iraq supporting the Coalition for Just Reparations (C4JR), also working as a researcher and journalist for Al Jazeera, The New Humanitarian, Rudaw English and other outlets. She has recently authored a paper for the LSE Middle East Centre on Women, Law and Climate Resilience in Iraq — with a previous LSE paper on the UN’s Humanitarian Transition in Iraq. Alannah is beginning a PhD at Queen’s University Belfast, turning her focus to the development of transnational treaties regulating autonomous weapons in warfare.
