Tessa Kelly
Tessa Kelly currently coordinates the development of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC)’s global approaches and positioning on climate change, working as part of the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre team. Prior to this she led the IFRC’s work on law and disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation and community preparedness, and coordinated the Disaster law Programme for the Asia Pacific region from Kuala Lumpur working closely with National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and their governments. Her prior country-level experiences in Viet Nam with UNDP and Lao PDR involved working closely with local and national governments, as well as regional organizations, in the field of disaster risk management and climate change adaptation. She is originally a lawyer from Adelaide, Australia with a Masters in International Law.
