Rivière Putumayo, à la frontière colombienne, communauté de La Ceiba. Installation d'un kit de récupération d'eau par la population, avec l'aide de membres de la Croix-Rouge équatorienne. Putumayo river, bordering Colombia, community of La Ceiba. Installation of a water recuperation kit by the local people, with the help of Ecuadorean Red Cross members. The idea is that the whole community participates as the RC team members explain how to do it, so that everyone can do it on one's own later on. Many people are sick from drinking water from the polluted river. The ICRC has a program to distribute water tanks and material to gather rain water from the roofs of the people's houses. Photo taken along the Colombian border, in Northern Ecuador, in an area where there is a high rate of Colombian refugees.
