Maarten Abeel is Physical Rehabilitation Program Coordinator at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), where he is responsible for supporting and coordinating rehabilitation programs in over 24 conflict-affected countries. With a background in physiotherapy, global health, and international project management he has more than fifteen years of experience in rehabilitation, health systems strengthening and program management across Europe, Africa, South America, Asia, and the Middle East. He combines a strong clinical background with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating rehabilitation programs in complex and resource-constrained settings.
