Hon. Robert Doya Nanima
Hon. Robert Doya Nanima is a Member of the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child, Special Rapporteur for Children in Conflict Situations and the Chairperson of the Working Group on Implementation of Decisions. He is also an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Criminal Justice and Procedure at the University of the Western Cape’s Faculty of Law in South Africa. A renowned expert in the realm of children’s rights, his research explores the intersections of childhood, armed conflict, and human rights. He has published extensively and presented at national and international conferences. Before his academic career, he was a prosecutor with the Directorate of Public Prosecutions, Uganda, bringing a wealth of practical expertise to his scholarly pursuits.
