Anders Ladekarl
Anders Ladekarl joined the Danish Red Cross in 2002 as Director of the International Department. In this capacity, he has travelled extensively visiting Red Cross projects in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. In 2005, he was deployed to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) as coordinator of the Tsunami reconstruction in Indonesia. Anders Ladekarl was appointed Secretary General of the Danish Red Cross in March 2008.
Anders Ladekarl served as a board member of Danida (Danish International Development Agency), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, from 2005-2012, was Vice Chairman of the Danish Council for Social Responsibility from 2013-2015 and is currently Vice Chairman of the Civil Society Trade Association, member of the Election Committee, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and board member and member of council of the Danish Cultural Institute.
Anders Ladekarl holds a BA in History from Aarhus University (1984) and a MSc in Economics from the University of Copenhagen (1989).
