Alexis Comninos
Alexis Comninos is a Thematic Legal Adviser, focusing on detention and preparedness to comply with IHL in international armed conflict. He previously worked in Chad and in Ukraine as well in various positions at ICRC headquarters. Alexis was also a Legal Adviser with the Association for the Prevention of Torture (APT).
He holds a BA in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Sussex, an MA in Human Rights Studies from Columbia University, and an LLM in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights from the Geneva Academy. He speaks French, English, Spanish and (some) Italian.
