Eve Massingham
Dr Eve Massingham is the ICRC’s Regional Legal Adviser in the Pacific. Since first joining the ICRC in 2016, Eve has worked in roles including as the Regional Legal Adviser for East Africa, Regional Legal Adviser for Southern Africa (ad interim) and as a Policy Advisor with the Arms and Conduct of Hostilities Unit of the legal division in Geneva. Her other experience includes with Australian Red Cross, as a research academic, as a solicitor and as an Australian Army Reserve officer.
Eve’s qualifications include a Ph.D on the obligation to respect and ensure respect for international humanitarian law, a Master of Laws, a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Master of International and Community Development. She is widely published on international humanitarian law and is the co-editor of Ensuring Respect for International Humanitarian Law (Routledge, 2020).
