Dominique Loye
Dominique Loye is currently Policy Adviser on Nuclear Weapons at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
He worked for over 30 years for the ICRC, in particular on various weapons-related international humanitarian law issues. He also led an institution-wide feasibility study concerning humanitarian assistance in response to Nuclear, Radiological, Biological, and Chemical (NRBC) events. From 2015 to 2022, he was Deputy Director in the Directorate for International Law and Policy at ICRC’s headquarters in Geneva.
Dominique holds a Masters in Physics from the Federal Institute of Technology Zurich and a post-graduate Masters in Business Administration. In the Swiss Army, he served for 30 years as a non-professional officer, ending his career with the rank of major in an artillery fire command unit at brigade level.
