Coline Beytout-Lamarque
After studying at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and the Université du Québec à Montréal, where she obtained an LL.M. in International Law and Politics, Coline Beytout-Lamarque joined the International Committee of the Red Cross in Geneva as a legal advisor. She has also worked in this capacity for the United Nations Refugee Agency in Brussels and the French Ministry of Health in Paris. She worked as a humanitarian diplomacy officer for the international office of Médecins Sans Frontières in Geneva, for whom she carried out several missions in Haiti, Niger, Pakistan and South Sudan. Her focus was on access and protection issues, through daily dialogue with governments and international and non-governmental organizations. After joining Action contre la Faim in Paris, she is now senior legal advisor and deputy head of international humanitarian law for the French Red Cross. Since 2024, Coline has co-chaired the European legal support group composed of European national societies, and she is an auditor at the institute for advanced studies in national defence (IHEDN).
