Michael Spies
Michael Spies joined the United Nations in 2009. He currently serves as Deputy Chief of the Geneva Branch of the Office for Disarmament Affairs, where leads the Secretariat team of the Conference on Disarmament as well as the Office’s outer space portfolio.
Previously, he worked in the Science and Technology Unit and the Weapons of Mass Destruction Branch of the Office for Disarmament Affairs. Prior to joining the United Nations, worked as research associate for various non-governmental organizations active in the areas of nuclear disarmament, arms control and non-proliferation.
