Ariana Lopes Morey
Ariana Lopes Morey is a Policy Adviser in the ICRC’s Policy & Humanitarian Diplomacy Division, which supports the ICRC’s humanitarian mission through policy and diplomatic engagement. Ariana has worked in the humanitarian sector for years, leading humanitarian program design and implementation, policy research and development, conducting trainings and legal analysis, as well as working as an adjudicator of refugee claims for the Canadian government. Before joining the ICRC, Ariana worked with Médecins sans Frontières (MSF) both in Canada and the field, the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the Hague, and the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada.
Ariana holds a NOHA Masters in International Humanitarian Action from the University of Groningen, and a Bachelor degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Toronto. She continues to study for personal growth in areas such as international criminal law, indigenous’ peoples rights, and languages.
