Every day, thousands of people around the world go missing, whether during armed conflict, migration or a natural disaster. No matter the reason, one thing is true in every case: The missing person’s family suffers immensely. Not just emotionally, but physically, financially and socially.
Until they know the status of their loved one, their lives are put on hold. Stuck in a waiting and worrying about where their loved one is. If their loved one is alive, or if he will ever return.
In this video which is subtitled in Farsi, we’ll see what happens to the family of someone who has gone missing and therefore, we could have a clearer image of the difficult situation of a family in this status. Also, we find out why the ICRC has devoted itself to creating programs and services to hep these families in need.
