Taniel Yusef

Taniel Yusef is research affiliate at the Centre for the Study of Existential Risk at the University of Cambridge. She researches integrated risks of artificial intelligence in weapons systems, cyber, nuclear and outer-space threats. After nearly seven years as UK International Representative for the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (Trade, Economics and Disarmament Affairs), she now serves as UK Charity Director and International Advisory Board member on matters of emerging technology and international trade. As founding member of UK Campaign to Stop Killer Robots and Technology Developers Coordinator she provides evidence highlighting technological issues of machine learning unpredictability as interacting with international law. Taniel is contributing-editor to European Women’s Lobby’s Feminist Economics Working Group, specialising in human security, having researched women’s access to resources on the ground and discriminate harm in conflict affected regions.
