Kristina Lindvall
Kristina Lindvall is a Senior Legal Adviser at the Swedish Red Cross. Her present work is, among other issues, focused on IHL and gender. Within this field, she is a co-author of the publication IHL and gender – Swedish experiences and takes part in the peer review process in the ICRC project to update the Commentaries to the Geneva Conventions. Her other thematic files include work in relation to the RCRC Statutory meetings and national implementation of IHL. She is a member of the Swedish National Committee for International Humanitarian Law and the Swedish Defence University’s subject council on international law.
Prior to joining the Swedish Red Cross in 2013, she worked at the Swedish Ministries of Defence and Ministries of the Environment, focusing on national implementation of international law, including analysing the rules of customary law that the ICRC has laid down in its customary law study.
She holds a Diploma de Especialista in human rights from the Complutense University in Madrid, and a Degree of Master of Laws from Umeå University in Sweden.
