Elizabeth Rushing

Elizabeth Rushing rejoined the ICRC in 2019 as the Editor-in-Chief of Humanitarian Law & Policy and podcast host of Humanity in War. In addition to previously serving the ICRC, she has worked for the Norwegian Refugee Council’s Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre, the War Crimes Research Office, UNAIDS, the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the International Federation of Human Rights.
Elizabeth holds a Juris Doctor from the American University Washington College of Law and a Master of Laws from the Université Paris Nanterre, where she focused her studies on international human right law and international humanitarian law.
