Drew Ambrose is an international correspondent with Al Jazeera English.  He produces, presents and directs documentaries for the news channel’s flagship current affairs show 101 East. He has produced forensic investigative reports about secret torture centres, dolphin hunting, enforced disappearance practices, dodgy timber deals, clergy sex abuse, indigenous incarceration and child exploitation in Global South contexts.

Drew’s work has won or been nominated for more than 75 global journalism prizes, including the coveted International Journalist of the Year category at the 2021 One World Media Awards for an expose on migrant worker abuses during the pandemic in Malaysia which saw him expelled from the country.
