Camilla G. Cooper
Dr. Camilla G. Cooper is an Associate Professor of operational law at the Norwegian Defence University College. She has a PhD on NATO Rules of engagement, self-defence and the law of armed conflict from the University of Oslo (2018), and a LLM in Public International Law from the University of Nottingham (2006). She started working for the Norwegian Armed Forces in 2008, and has amongst others served with NATO in Afghanistan (2011), been a visiting scholar at the Stockton Center for International Law (2015), and has co-authored and is currently updating the Norwegian Manual on the Law of Armed Conflict. In 2022, she was appointed as a member of the Ethics Council for the Norwegian Defence Sector and as the Norwegian representative on the Board of Directors of ISMLLW.
