Alexander Blanchard
Dr Alexander Blanchard is a Senior Researcher in the Governance of Artificial Intelligence Programme at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI). His work focuses on issues related to military applications of AI and autonomy in weapon systems. Currently, he is working on a joint project between SIPRI and the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs researching the security risks of dual-use civilian technologies (funded by the Council of the European Union). Before joining SIPRI, Alexander was the Defence Science Technology Laboratory (Dstl) Digital Ethics Fellow at the Alan Turing Institute in London.
