This workshop is held jointly by the International Committee of the Red Cross, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and the Iranian Red Crescent Society from 17-19 October 2023 (25-27 Mehr 1402) in Tehran.

In this workshop, topics related to the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, constitutional meetings of the Movement, strengthening of national societies, international law and humanitarian diplomacy, etc. will be presented and discussed.

Vincent Cassard, The head of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Iran said at the opening ceremony: “The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement has a respectable and honorable history of humanitarian actions around the world.” Referring to the seven principles of the movement, namely, Humanity, Neutrality, Impartiality, Independence, Voluntary work, Universality, and Unity, he called these principles the guide for the activities of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
