Public statements of the ICRC regarding the hostages held in Gaza

Since the 7th of October, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has been calling for the unconditional release of the hostages as a priority, while also pressing for access to them and the ability to provide them with medical care.

We advocate for the hostages in bilateral dialogue with those who have the influence to make a difference. We have published a dozen of statements where this has been communicated publicly. Our President has met with relatives of the hostages and has herself publicly asked for their release.
