The ICRC in partnership with the O. P. Jindal Global University, Jindal School of International Affairs (JSIA), is hosting a digital conversation titled ‘COVID-19: The Changing Face of Humanitarian Assistance in the New Normal’.

About the webinar: The pandemic, over the last several months, has resulted not only in an unprecedented global public health emergency, but has also had serious social and economic consequences. The evolving response has underlined the need for longer-term collaborative strategies to address the overwhelming humanitarian needs. Through this webinar, we hope to initiate conversations on the role States will play towards a coordinated global response, the evolving role of the humanitarian sector and how the various challenges of the ‘new normal’ are likely to be tackled. The discussion will also focus on potential solutions to address the gaps in the humanitarian system as well as the kind of collaborations and partnerships that could help shape the response.

Date and Time:
Friday 11 September 2020, 1600 HRS (IST).
