The pain of losing someone you hold dear is immensely difficult to overcome. What makes it even more unbearable is when the families are unable to find out what has happened to their loved ones.
In Nepal, over 1300 people are still reported missing and their families have been demanding answers about the fate of the missing. Since the end of the 10-year long conflict in the country, the ICRC has been providing support to such families and helping them cope with the pyschosocial impact of the conflict.
Recently, some of them got together to mark the International Day of the Disappeared and to remind the authorities of their obligations under the International Humanitarial Law.
