More than 200 essays, 150 paintings and nearly 50 photographs were received for the World Red Cross Day 2016 online competitions organized by the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), together with the ICRC and the IFRC. Participants from diverse age groups from across the country submitted entries for the competition.
The winners who will be awarded at a ceremony on May 9, 2016 at the national headquarters of the IRCS in New Delhi are:
In the Essay category:

For photography and painting categories, the judges decided that there would be no 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize. Instead, the best three entries will be awarded.
