Ms. Mary Werntz, Head of the Regional Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in New Delhi, on behalf of management and all staff, regrets the sudden and sad demise of a strong ally, Dr. SP Agarwal, Secretary General of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), who passed away on 17 November 2015.
The ICRC offers its deepest sympathies to Dr. Agarwal’s family and colleagues at the IRCS.The ICRC pays tribute to the memory of Dr. Agarwal, who was our long-standing partner and a recipient of the Henry Dunant Medal – the highest award of the Red Cross Movement.
