Sana’a, physical rehabilitation centre supported by the ICRC. An 11 years old boy, who lost a leg in an airstrike, is training to walk with a prosthesis. Three months before this photo was taken, he was in Jidir, North of Sana’a, out with his friends, watching other boys playing football when suddenly an airstrike hit nearby. He does not recall what happened next. He then found out that his three friends were also hit. He did not know though, that one girl died and the two other boys lost their legs, just like him. He has been receiving treatment at the ICRC supported physical rehabilitation centre for over a month now.
