In her current capacity, Ms. Milner Enercrantz supports the implementation of ICRC protection-related activities in the United States and Canada, including dialogue on large scale conflict preparedness, conduct of hostilities and detention operations overseas, humanitarian developments in contexts such as Syria and others where U.S. Armed Forces conduct military operations directly or through partners. During her over 20 years of experience with the ICRC, she has worked as a Delegate in Colombia, Head of Office in Uganda and Sri Lanka as well as Protection Coordinator in DRC, the Western Balkans, South Caucasus, Libya and Washington D.C., covering ICRC’s protection dialogue and neutral intermediary role with parties to the conflict, activities in places of detention, as well as on thematics such as the Missing, protection of family links, and Conduct of hostilities. She holds a Master in Humanitarian Action from the Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium) and University of Deusto (Spain).
