Against a backdrop of climate change, population growth, and urbanization – as well as radical transformations in the energy sector – the ICRC is looking to build on environmentally sustainable practices. The goal is to improve access to safe, resilient, and sustainable energy for crisis-affected populations and providers of essential services, such as hospitals, while reducing the organization’s carbon footprint.
