On 30 August 2018, the International Day of the Disappeared, the ICRC opened the installation “Still Waiting”, dedicated to families whose loved ones have gone missing as a result of the armed conflict in Eastern Ukraine.
This installation symbolically shows the heavy burden of waiting and not knowing which these families carry every day. It aims to help us better understand families of the missing who simply want to know what happened to their loved ones. They have the right to know.
