Valentina Sabostienko ( 54), standinng near a lake were her son Igor’s liked to swim, near Chornukhy village. she holds her son picture. her son Igor Latvin (30) died in the war on 13.1.2023. standing near her sons’s grave in Chornukhy, cemetry.. After the invasion began in 2022 , Igor became part of the Territorial Defence and joined the army by August 2022. He joined 77 airborne assault brigade, went to training in Zhtomer and by January 2023 was sent to Soledar. By 9.1.2023 he was in Soledar, and died in battle on 13.1.2023,Even though he was confirmed KIA (killed in action). Valentina still wants to believe he is alive: ' I hope one day , my son will knock on my window and will say- hi mom i'm back and i'm alive'. Chornukhy, Ukraine. 26.7.2024
