The aim is to facilitate the access to safe water supplies and improve sanitation conditions.

• Improved the access to water in 40 communities of Central and Southern regions by drilling of boreholes, construction of hand dug wells and rehabilitation or construction of water storage and distribution facilities benefiting to 186,666 beneficiaries.
• Improved traditional rain water harvesting facilities and their livestock by constructing Berkads and by desilting rainwater catchments in 16 locations in Puntland, Middle and Lower Shabelle, Galgadud and Mudug Regions benefiting to 70,107 beneficiaries
