Ms. Aishath Noora Mohamed, Secretary General of the Maldivian Red Crescent, who is in India to attend the just-concluded Asia Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Jeremy England, Head of the Regional Delegation of the ICRC for Bhutan, India, Maldives and Nepal, on November 11, 2016.

Ms. Mohamed briefed Mr. England about the future plans and current activities undertaken by the Maldivian Red Crescent. The National Society in the Maldives aims to be even closer to the population and be able to offer them a diverse range of humanitarian services.

Mr. England also briefed the Secretary General of MRC about the work of the ICRC Regional Delegation in New Delhi and the two discussed at length ways of improving coordination and partnership across a diverse range of activities.
