The Voluntary Medicare Society – a partner of the ICRC New Delhi delegation – marked the International Day of Persons with Disabilities by organising a sensitisation programme at the Tagore Hall in Srinagar. The NGO works for the rehabilitation of physically and mentally challenged and speech and hearing impaired patients. The aim of the campaign was to make people aware about the problems faced by people with disabilities and also for removing barriers to create an inclusive and accessible society.
Children performed a stage show to mark the occasion.
