This year, the World Red Cross Red Crescent Day — 8 May — was marked by commemorating the 50th anniversary of the adoption of the seven Fundamental Principles.
A series of events were held in Colombo, Islamabad and Kabul where the ICRC delegations, together with the respective national societies and movement partners, underlined the significance of the fundamental principles as well as reaffirmed their relevance.
