On the occasion of International Jazz Day, 30 April, celebrated Jazz composer and musician Herbie Hancock called upon people of all nations to respect and protect humanitarian aid volunteers and health workers of the Red Cross and all other humanitarian agencies.
Hundreds of healthcare and humanitarian aid volunteers work round the clock to provide relief to thousands and millions of affected and vulnerable people in situations of violence as well as natural calamities across the globe.
Hancock, who is the Unesco Goodwill Ambassador, in his message says, “this day reminds us of what we can accomplish when we work together”.
