The ICRC New Delhi Regional Delegation has been organizing photo exhibitions in order to create more awareness about the humanitarian work it has been carrying out across the world. It recently collaborated with KIIT University to host a photo exhibition titled ‘ICRC Humanitarian Activities around the World’ from 21-22 February, 2015 at the KIIT law school, Bhubaneswar. The exhibition was inaugurated by Honourable Justice P.C. Ghosh, Judge Supreme Court of India, along with Prof. N. K. Chakrabarti, Director, KIIT law school. As many as 400 students — from the law, medical, and social science fraternity at KIIT — visited the exhibition.

The exhibition had 40 iconic images on display, which illustrated various aspects of ICRC’s humanitarian work. Some of the exhibits brought back memories of ICRC’s assistance work at the time of the First and Second World Wars, and many others reflected its response to people’s needs in the wake of natural disasters.

Earlier in December, a week-long photo exhibition was organised by the International Committee of the Red Cross and Indian Red Cross Society-Manipur State branch. The photo exhibition was held at Manipur University in Imphal and launched by its Vice Chancellor Prof. H.N.K. Sarma. It was attended by academicians, civil society organisations, Red Cross members and students.
