The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)’s regional delegation for India, Bhutan and the Maldives announces a panel discussion on ‘Designing health systems to cope with emergencies’. The talk will be held on 7 November, Friday, from 4:00-6:00pm at the delegation in New Delhi’s Safdarjung Development Area.

The discussion is part of the ICRC’s sustained efforts to consult and exchange views with relevant stakeholders on issues of common interest. Across the world, the ICRC works with government and non-government health institutions to respond to healthcare needs of populations affected by man-made or natural disasters. This panel discussion aims to explore the challenges of delivering healthcare in emergencies and understand how disasters affect health systems, their management and evolution.
