ICRC Logistics division is proud to announce that we have achieved ISO 14001: 2015 Environmental Management System (EMS) certification certification for Douala Logistics Hub.
To become ISO 14001 compliant, we have been audited independently by the SGS & BV international inspection companies, against internationally recognized standards showing our commitment to Environmental concerns. Additionally, this process required examining and documenting entire processes and making sure through internal audits that processes are predictable and consistent.
Overall, we underwent a rigorous evaluation process. This process includes Environmental Management System development, a management system documentation review, pre-audit, initial assessment, and clearance of non-conformances.
ISO 14001:2015 specifies the requirements for an environmental management system that ICRC Logistics will use to enhance its environmental performance. The certification is intended for use by Logistics seeking to manage its environmental responsibilities in a systematic manner that contributes to the environmental pillar of QHSE1/ sustainability.
QHSE approach as well as EMS implementation shows ICRC Logistics2 position on sustainability and green supply chain. Despite our certification, we will continually review our environmental management system as part of Logistics QHSE policy. We are using this ISO 14001 practice to implement and follow the best practices in all Logistics sites.
