The aim is to increase knowledge and respect of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and humanitarian principles.

• IHL training to 245 Officers from AMISOM
• Distributed the ICRC developed Code of Conduct on IHL in conflict to the Somali National Armed Forces (SNAF) for use in their basic training.
• IHL training of trainer’s course to 20 Kenya Defence Force Officers
• Contributed humanitarian and IHL inputs to the writing phase of Exercise Eastern Accord (35 East African Standby Force Officers in attendance).
